Provides opportunities for youth ages 13 to 30 in the Nanaimo regional district to gain knowledge, life, and employment skills. Offers a variety of free programming to support youth, build self-esteem and confidence, encourage the development of respectful relationships, and foster the safety and stability of at-risk youth.

Cicada Place provides 10 supported housing units to youth ages 16-22. Cicada place assists youth in the transition from adolescence to adulthood. The supports provided include:

  • individual and group life skills support
  • bridging to community services
  • connecting to educational programs
  • crisis intervention
  • navigating Ministry services
  • household management support

Drop-in resource centre for women seeking information, resources, peer counselling, and support on women's issues. Offers a single mother's support group, a health and wellness program, a summer girls' empowerment camp, a family law clinic, monthly workshops, basic computer training, and public education; registration is required for all programs. Aims to promote women's equality.

Shelter serves youth ages 14 to 18 who may be homeless or needing a break from a stressful family situation; not wheelchair accessible. Houses up to four youth, with 24-hour supervision; stay is for up to 14 days. Services include counselling, family mediation, information and referral, clothing, bus tickets for appointments, and help with income assistance, youth agreements, and educational opportunities.

Offers assessment and diagnostic services for infants, children, and youth age 19 and under who are suspected of having fetal alcohol syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and any other complex developmental behavioural conditions. Referrals through a pediatrician or child psychiatrist; referrals accepted from a family physician under special circumstances.
